An aerodynamic carbon disc wheel designed for triathlon and time trial racing with rim brakes. Its AIRlense3 profile, laser-engraved braking surface, and XAS surface texture combine aerodynamic design with precision engineering.
LIGHTWEIGHT BY DESIGN
Low weight is achieved through our innovative HMLS X laminating technology and a specially designed carbon rim.
Developed by RON over six years, HMLS X uses a multilayer construction for the disc’s side plates. Each plate combines 12 precisely laid carbon pieces made from three different fibre types—including high-modulus fibres—with a foam core.
SHAPED FOR SPEED
The proven AIRlense3 profile uses an asymmetrical lenticular shape to optimise airflow around the wheel.
AERON X also features XaeroSkin—a textured surface with hexagonal dimples designed to create a controlled turbulent boundary layer, helping airflow stay attached to the surface for longer and reducing aerodynamic drag by 4–5%.
HEXSTOP BRAKING SURFACE
HEXSTOP features a laser-engraved hexagonal pattern designed to improve braking performance, heat dissipation, and water evacuation. Combined with our high-temperature resin technology, it supports consistent, controlled braking in both wet and dry conditions.
